6/25 Notorious Missouri Christian school predator passes

Yesterday, a notorious predator passed away. Boyd Householder of Nevada, MO was scheduled to go to trial this fall, with his wife Stephanie, on nearly 100 criminal charges of abusing and neglecting scores of kids at Agape School, a boarding school in Stockton Missouri.

At 1:15pm today, at a SNAP news conference in Kansas City MO, two young women who were victimized by Householder and his staff will speak for the first time.

REACTION

Statement by Amanda Householder (Boyd's daughter who has filed criminal charges against Boyd and his wife - Amanda's mom - Stephanie Boyd)

"While the little girl inside me is sad to hear of my Dad's passing, I feel even more heartbroken for those of us who were sexually, emotionally and physically violated by him for years and years. I hope his passing brings some solace to the hundreds of vulnerable children who suffered even more pain at his hands."

"This is what happens when law enforcement officials drag their feet: Abuse victims are denied justice and their day in court. It's tragic that none of us who were so severely hurt by his crimes won't be able to expose the full extent of his crimes in court."

Statement by Kansas City attorney Rebecca Randles (who represents Amanda and others who were hurt at Agape School and other Missouri faith-based boarding schools) 816 510 2704

"Boyd Householder left a torrent of pain scattered behind him, having abused so many children. It is our hope and prayer that his victims find solace, if not closure, in knowing he will not be hurting anyone else."

"Our hearts go out to his daughter, Amanda Householder. She has bravely supported her father’s victims while prosecuting the only father she knew."

Statement by David Clohessy, Former national director of SNAP, Current director of Missouri SNAP, Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests, 314-566-9790davidgclohessy@gmail.com

"Householder had dozens and dozens of enablers - employees and colleagues and law enforcement staffers - who knew of or suspected his horrific crimes yet concealed them or committed similar crimes themselves. It's a tragedy that their names and  their devastating misdeeds will now likely never be brought to light.

Still, everyone who cares about kids owes an enormous debt of gratitude to Amanda for her courage and persistence in warning parents, police, prosecutors and the public about this sick man and those around him."
