What is the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests?

Hi, I'm David Clohessy with SNAP, the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests. We are a confidential, independent, self-help group for men, women, and kids who were sexually violated at any age by anyone in a religious setting: priest, brother, nun, bishop, seminarian or rabbi, Protestant pastor, again, anyone in a religious setting.

We have two goals, to protect the vulnerable and heal the wounded. To protect the vulnerable, we often do events that highlight predator priests and the bishops who conceal them and protect them.

And to heal the wounded, we have support groups, many of them online, that are confidential, safe places for people who are suffering with shame, self-blame, confusion, doubt, and fear. A place where they can confide in others who are going through the same kinds of emotional difficulties.

So please, if you know somebody who was hurt, or if you were hurt, please contact snapnetwork.org
